Gabby Gourmet Review

From “Gabby Gourmet Restaurant Guide 2010″

In a strip on South Broadway, in the antique district, you will find Capital Tea, the most charming spot and worth a special trip. One room, small and comfortable, with a counter for ordering and a back wall of 70 varieties of fabulous teas, you will be delighted. First, the loose teas are wonderful, and displayed in stainless steel containers that allow you to purchase to take home. The prices are amazing and so affordable even by the cup that this alone will bring you back. The food is just wonderful. The menu is small but features a list of homemade sweets to please all. Scones, biscuits, muffins, tarts and all things divine complement the teas. The savories are just as exciting. The sandwiches area all prepared to order. The tuna curry and the egg salad with chives are worth the trip. Order plain on your choice of bread, or if you prefer, have them grilled Panini style. There is turkey, veggie, salmon and more. Lisa Biro, the charming chef/owner, happily assists in your selection of drinks as does the very friendly staff. Capital Tea is a real treat—with a Capital T!!! Head on over to South Broadway for a very special experience.
