Well it’s been another great year at Capital Tea! Thank you all for your support, and we send  the happiest holiday wishes to you, your families, and friends. Capital Tea will close for winter break from December 25 until January 2, and will re-open on January 3. Until then, may you stay safe through the holidays!!

Happy December! I hope you are having a great week and enjoying our snow!  We have some beautiful food and events lined up for you this week-end. On Friday, our lunch special will be a traditional shepherd’s pie, warm and soulful!! Perfect for a cold day! And join us Saturday evening for our holiday musical celebration: Songs for Winter’s Night. Local musicians will perform, and you are invited to join in the fun! The event begins at 6:30 pm and will go until 8:30. There will be plenty of tea, warm food and delightful treats to get you in the holiday mood!

Board Game Night is back! Whether it’s Scrabble, Wasabi, Candyland or something we haven’t heard of, join us for free board game fun on Friday, November 11, 6:30-8:30! Great tea and great food available for purchase!

It’s almost Friday and time to change up the menu a bit. This week’s Friday Lunch Special is our own mushroom barley soup–a hearty and satisfying bowl of deliciousness! For afters, you might want a little slice of delectability: our chocolate almond tart with a hint of cinnamon–lovely with a cup of smoky tea or a flavored black such as the Black Jasmine Creme!!

Well, it’s already Friday and time for something different, seasonal and of course, yummy! How does soup sound? This a perfect soup for fall: sweet potatoes, red peppers and a hint of chili to make it interesting! See you soon…

It’s not too late to reserve a spot for our cupcake event on Sunday! Children decorate their own scary cupcakes while mom and dad sit back and relax with a cup of tea. Event will be held Sunday, October 30, from 2:30-4:30 pm. Price is $15 per child which includes 2 cupcakes with all the trimmings as well as refreshments! Phone for reservations.
